The 1950 Atlantic Hurricane Season was a very active one, with many powerful and destructive storms, and the first hurricane
season ever to use names for storms. The names were taken from the World War II phonetic alphabet. Storms in the 1950 Season
were named: Able, Barker, Charlie, Dog, Easy, Fox , George, How, Item, Jig, King, and Love. There was also a tropical storm
that did not recieve a name.
We will have individual articles for each storm in the 1950 Season sometime in late 2006.
