The 1951 Atlantic Hurricane Season was a fairly active one, and was the second season to name storms. Names were once again
taken from the WW II phoenetic alphabet, and storms this year were named: Able, Barker, Charlie, Dog, Easy, Fox, George, How,
Item, and Jig. 8 out of the 10 storms were Hurricanes, and Hurricane Charlie was the deadliest, killing 250 people in the
Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico.
